Directions to kill duckweed with #145 Eliminator.
Duckweeds are a nuisance plant normally brought by animals and/or wind to your water body.
In order to kill duckweed, dilute Eliminator #145 with water at a ratio of about 5 gallons of water to 1 gallon of Eliminator.
Add in a small amount (about 2 ounces per 5 gallons of mixed solution) of non-ionic surfactant (dish detergent) to aid it in penetrating to the plant.
Then apply with any normal sprayer, a 2 gallon pump up sprayer is fine.
Wet down the duckweeds at an average of 5000 sq. ft. of leaf area per gallon of Eliminator.
In cases where the duckweed is very thick or matted, you may need to re-apply to kill another layer.
Avoid spraying Eliminator on windy days to avoid killing wanted vegetation.
Normally duckweed will start to brown in 3 to 5 days and is dead in 7-10 days. |
