HYDROSHIELD WATER BASE CONCRETE SEALER Low odor, VOC compliant, clear, non-glass protective coating to seal concrete, masonry or stucco. PURPOSE: HYDROSHIELD WB has been primarily designed to seal masonry walls, concrete slabs, decks, walls, and abutments from both water and chloride intrusion while providing for water vapor transmission (breathability). HYDROSHIELD WB Concrete Sealer is a solvent free silane modified siloxane which chemically bonds to the substrate. The highly hydrophobic chemical molecules are extremely small (17A) resulting in penetration depths of Ό of an inch. This material is UV resistant and will not turn yellow, and provides a barrier to destructive carbonation. ADVANTAGES: ▪ Markedly reduces water and chloride intrusion. SURFACE PREPARATION: The substrate should be structurally sound and free of grease, oil, sealers, coatings, or other surface contaminants. HYDROSHIELD WB may be applied to damp surfaces provided no surface liquid exists. APPLICATION: Mix material to redistribute any settled ingredients. Apply directly from the can, with no thinning. The prime coat of HYDROSHIELD WB should be allowed to dry at least ½ hour before the top coat is applied. Apply material on walls in a flood coat to saturation starting at the top and working down. Protect windows from overspray. On decks apply at suggested coverage rates. APPLICATION COVERAGE (Product may be either spray or roller applied.) Prime Coat 100 Sq. Ft. Per Gallon APPEARANCE: The HYDROSHIELD WB system may temporarily slightly darken the surface appearance of the substrate it is applied to. HYDROSHIELD WB will not alter either the color or texture of the surface. ADHESION OF SEALANTS: All control, crack and expansion joint sealing should be done prior to the application of the HYDROSHIELD WB. APPLICATION: Do not apply HYDROSHIELD WB system when the air surface temperature is below 38 degrees F. PRECAUTIONS: ▪ Do not allow this material to freeze.
