285 Series allows you to just drive the truck forks into the Karrier’s fork pockets and drive to a drum at ground level. When the drum holder meets the center of the drum, dismount and screw down safety locks to grip forks, then secure the drum by cinching the binder. Raise the carriage and travel to dumping location. Without leaving the seat, pull the chain loop for complete control of drum tilting. Model 285A-BP, provides a two button pendant for battery powered drum tilt control. Tilt drum for dumping then rotate drum back to upright position. Drum can be fully inverted or controlled for desired rate of pouring. The Fork Lift-Karrier detaches quickly, freeing the truck for other jobs.
Battery Powered Drum Tilt Control 
Model 285A-BP- This unit has a Full Drum Capacity of 1,200 Lbs, and a Half-full capacity of 600 Lbs.
12V Battery Powered drum tilt allows the operator to control the drum pouring with push-button ease, while seated in truck. Drum tilt may be started, stopped or reversed at any point in the 180 degree range. The drum can be fully inverted for complete drainage. Model 285A-BP Fork Lift-Karrier has its own battery. No power connection or truck modification is required. Charger is included for wall or shelf mount. Handle 55 gallon steel drums. Use Morse 55/30 Series Adaptors for smaller diameter drum. Manual Drum Tilt Control Forklift Karriers
Standard models have pull chain and chain wheel for manual drum tilt control from seat the of the fork truck. Pull chain loop is 20’ long with a 10’ drop. Hand crank drum tilt control options are also available.
285GR Series - Extra Heavy-Duty:
This unit can manipulate a Full Drum Capacity of 2,000 Lbs. and a Half-full drum capacity of 1,000 Lbs. Extra Heavy-Duty models feature a 2-stage worm gear speed reducer for a 150:1 mechanical advantage; for ease and control when tipping heavy drum. Handles 55 gallon steel drums. Use 55/30-19GR Adaptor for 30 gallon steel drums. Model 285G-GR is Extra Heavy-Duty model with 3-piece saddle. Model 285GM-GR is made with spark resistant parts and 3-piece saddle.
285HD Series - Heavy-Duty:
This unit can maniuplate a Full Drum Capacity of 1,500 Lbs., and a Half-full drum capacity of 800 Lb. Heavy-Duty models have 30:1 gearing with an extra 2:1 sprocket set to achieve 60:1 ratio for high capacity, fine drum tilt control. Standard models have pull chains and chain wheels for tilt control from the fork truck. Handles 55 gallon steel drums. Use 55/30 Series Adaptors for smaller diameter drum. Accepts 55/30 Series Adaptors for use with smaller diameter drums, including fiber and steel drums. Model 285A/E has E14 Fiber Drum Strap. Model 285G has a 3-piece saddle.
