MORSpeed will work with straight walled drums or even deformed ribs, since it does not depend on the drum ribs or friction. No modifications to your truck. Nothing out of the ordinary for the operator to do either. Just raise and lower the forks and drive forward and back as necessary.
MORSpeed is designed to handle virtually any common rimmed drum, whether steel (closed head or removable top with clamp ring), plastic (with non-removable top) or fiber (with metal clamp ring closure) in a wide range of sizes and weights. Plastic drum manufacturers have designed their drums with rims to be lifted by this rim-gripping action. Contact Morse for advice on suitability of unusual drums or rim shapes.
MORSpeed models will handle rimmed steel, fiber or plastic drums. They require a minimum drum height of 24", but will handle any diameter. They work with or without pallets, and even with damaged or straight walled drums. The minimum weight per drum required to actuate the jaws is 75 Lb. on a model with one head per drum and 350 Lb. with two heads per drum.

Operation of Forklift Attachments
Grab, lift, move and place drums without the operator leaving driver's seat. MORSpeed TM forklift attachments mount on forks in seconds without any tools. Fork pocket openings are 6.5" wide x 2.125" high and 16.5" apart.
Raise and lower forks to actuate the drum grab... No manual contact with the drums. Completely Mechanical and Automatic drum grab requires no power source. Massive steel jaws of the MORSpeed TM forklift attachments are contoured to securely grasp drum rim.
MORSpeeds TM with Spark Resistant Parts
Head and jaws that grip drum, and backrest, are made of spark resistant monel. Spark resistant parts reduce the possibility of mechanical sparks. They are not a substitute for grounding and bonding to prevent static discharge.
Optional Belted Backrest
Belted backrest pad equips MORSpeed TM forklift attachments with a 12" high fabric belt. It contacts the side of your drum to help protect from being marred in handling. It is available as a bolt-on accessory. Order one for each drum position on MORSpeed TM.
Carriage Mount - Model 287 - Forklift Attachments
This piece mounts directly onto ITA Class 2 Forklift Carriages for use without Forks. It is best when operating in limited space, not using pallets, and without the need to reach past single row of drums. Model 287 can handle one drum at a time. One or two can be used on truck carriage without forks. If you mount this Model 287 onto Part# 288-0, it is essential Model 288-1.
