Oil Fire Boom Oil spill fire fighting equipment and fire boom. In the mid 1980's we designed the first commercial Fireboom available capable of containing burning oil at 2000° F. This was the first (practical and successful) boom that allowed in-situ burning of oil spills on water. With more than decade of experience, Elastec/American Marine is the only company in the world with fire boom that has been used successfully during actual, at sea, in-situ burns of crude oil. The burns, include a test burn off the coast of Spitsbergen, Norway (1988), spillage from Exxon Valdez (1989) involvement with experimental burns off Newfoundland, Canada (1993) United Kingdom Southampton test burn (1996). To date we have sold more 37,000 feet of fireboom to customers around the world.

Hydro-Fire Boom can be used to contain foam used by firefighters to prevent the ignition of flammable materials floating on the surface. Hydro-Fire Boom® also prevents the spread of an existing flame, containing it in an area that can be effectively foamed. AMERICAN FIRE BOOM
CERAMIC FLOTATION BOOM FOR PROTECTIVE USE

Our first generation Fireboom designed for use as protective barrier in accidental marine fires. Ideal for areas where a fire resistant barrier is required to be in place at all times. American Fireboom employs unique high temperature resistant core and ceramic fabric components that retain their operating integrity from more than 2000°F (1093 C) for short term use in accidental fires.

The Fireboom not only contains a burning petroleum spill, it enhances the use of Fire-Fighting foam while attempting to extinguish the fire.
